Buy the Edna Trousers sewing pattern from Vikisews. Edna is a pair of straight-cut, close-fitting, slightly tapered trousers. The trousers feature pressed creases down the front and back of the legs. There are front slash pockets and a single back welt pocket on the right side. The back pocket closes with an inner button loop. The back is shaped with waist darts. The applied three-piece waistband features an extension at the centre front and belt loops. It closes with sew-on hooks and bars and an inner button and buttonhole. For the lining, choose lining fabrics made of artificial fibres (viscose), blends (viscose + elastane, viscose + polyester), or synthetics (polyester, polyester + elastane).
The trousers in the photos are made of suiting fabric. The fibre content is 56% polyester + 24% artificial cotton + 18% wool + 2% spandex. The fabric is soft, not very heavy, structured, drapes well, and doesn’t wrinkle. The lining is lightweight, slippery, with a slight sheen. The fibre content is 45% viscose + 55% polyester.
Fabric requirements: When purchasing fabric, buy 5% more than required to account for shrinkage.
